How to extend the life of LED/CFL bulbs

The LED and CFL bulb drivers die early because of the transient current at switch on. There’s a simple solution: just add a 40 watts incandescent bulb in series, and this will give your modern bulb an infinite life time. For the technical people, add an NTC thermistor instead of the incandescent bulb.
